India and the Tower of London

I went to the British Library and Maree went to look at jewels and prisons - a great combination I would think.

Maree didn't have her photo taken with these two - such a shame!

Buck Palace

Well we have now done the first real tourist thing in London and headed to Buckingham Place as did hundreds of others. A lovely day all up.

I think that a pattern is emerging here - Maree and policemen. These obliging bobbies were outside Buck Palace.

Now in London

It is cold, cold, cold here in London. Who would think that summer is almost here? I hope it improves anyway. Many thanks for the comments.

No stay in London would be complete without a shot of a double decker and this was a wedding bus to boot!

Maree found this pub near the British Library - those O'Neills do get around but notice that alcohol is still involved

A wet day in Paris!

"Today is quite wet and miserable. We haven't ventured out yet but I imagine it will be quite cold. The France page has more info on yesterday's doings.

The Arc de Triomphe

The gates leading into Parc Monceau - there are at least 3 of these spread along the park

This is the auction house we strolled into - a beautiful house with gardens at the back

More churches!

Yesterday was a very cold day though it was fine. Today is not so great and looks to be quite cold again. Have been to a few new places over the last couple of days.

Rainy weather in Paris

A wet day today but we managed to see two of the most important sights - the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
